    M1910 Canteen & Cover

    I haven't found another example with a belt hook like this. Rimless Eagle Snaps. NY Artillery 2nd BTN

    Canteen Cover (Mounted) M1910 component of the Infantry Equipment M1910, intended for use by soldiers that were horse mounted such as orderlies, messengers, or any other soldiers that would be mounted as part of their duty assignments. Not intended for cavalry service.
