After lightning up some of the pics, I located a '55 on the left side of the barrel knox peeking out from underneath the handguard, and I'm almost sure the FTR mark on the wrist is "MA55". It will be at the dealer soon and I'll get more info.

I've been pouring over all the Coachwood forend information here and we shall see when I get it apart. This will be a good "warm up" project since I have a Prestigious stock set of my LSA No1 Mk3 and a full set of wood to fit on my No4 Mk1 (T) following after this one!

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle.
