Private purchase knives

Attach are a few private purchased Commonwealth knives we've dug up over the years. Some came from north of the border and a few from England icon

. Most are WW II period, I'd like to know what you guy's were carrying. Any input will be gladly received,

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Oddly enough, my Grandfather (landed at Juno D-day, 2nd wave with the REME) carried a German icon

made Solingen hunting knife - go figure. I suspect he bought it a few years before the war.

D-Day brought a lot of new knives to the shores of France icon

. My partner in crime is a Ka-bar collector the likes of which I've never seen, but, I don't know if he actually has a knife that went to Europe through the beach in France. He's got so many but, none of them have talked yet, hum-SDH
