McAfee has some good firewall tools and allows firewall settings for individual programs, and all programs.

I am not critical of the site or your management. I am not an IT professional. My use of the term "firewall" may be incorrect. Just wish individuals or sites could throw a switch that would stop data from being sucked up by "G". Guess a major change in the privacy laws will be required for this to happen. We never took your comments as critical of the site. You are a valued long time member and your question is an excellent one.

My apologies if I left you with that idea.

The fact of the matter is that since they access sites through all standard browsers to get their data, everything Google does is beyond our control, short of shutting the site down so they see nothing.

We are open to suggestions from anyone as to how to block Google from accessing our site yet leaving it available for members.

I have heard that this search engine might be an option, but I've never used it.
