Quite. CCleaner is a good start.

McAfee has some good firewall tools and allows firewall settings for individual programs, and all programs.

I think I've commented on this in the past, but due to overwhelming interest had to stop.

    Not.

Much changes, much remains the same.

Best let this thread die now since it seems to be going sideways. Many Thanks for your efforts.
    Good morning Steve.

We never took your comments as critical of the site. You are a valued long time member and your question is an excellent one.

My apologies if I left you with that idea.

The fact of the matter is that since they access sites through all standard browsers to get their data, everything Google does is beyond our control, short of shutting the site down so they see nothing.

We are open to suggestions from anyone as to how to block Google from accessing our site yet leaving it available for members.

I have heard that this search engine might be an option, but I've never used it.

    DuckDuckGo Privacy, simplified.

    Regards,
    Doug

I think that you've made some excellent points, Steve, which perhaps more of us should think about more than we actually do.
