I believe the 4th one is Howa. Experts have told me that I don't know a Winchester from an Inland (probably don't) but have both (I think) - Bob

Seeing all these butt plates leaves me wondering how many different companies actually made them 20? 30? foreign companies 10/20? How many variations by each? 5-10? No wonder there is so much confusion! I guess we will never know.

Guys get pretty worked up over some patterns. Like GI Bob talking about Inland vs some WRA plates.

If you look closely at the 2 S-S3 plates above you'll see a different pattern.
Maybe just how they were positioned before being pressed ?

The top one with the raised circled area in the middle came off a LW stock that had a Korean paint job on it. No way to know if original to the stock. Possible it was made in Japan or Korea ?
