A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. If that link doesn't work try MHI and browse "Military Publications" until you find it.

I don't know if Pelago was able to find it, but I did. Wow, that's interesting reading. Thanks!

    Marksmanship training

Your best bet is to buy a copy of "Rifle and Carbine firing" by Capt' Stanhope E. Blunt. It was reprinted about 14 years ago and, I believe, still available from :Books on Broadway, 12 1/2West Broadway, Williston,N.D.58801
ph.(701)572-1433. The email is: bksbdwy@nemontel.net . If you should phone them ask to speak to Mr. Wilder. It's a reprint of the revised 1886 edition. It has illustrations of many different firing positions for the soldier, drawings of target frames and explains the different types of (oval) targets used at that time.
I have seen original manuals offered on ebay but didn't want to screw up one that old by using it.
I hope you find this info to be of some help!
    Regards, S.O.H.1898

I don't think Books on Broadway has the Blunt any longer.

However, Cornell Publications has a reprint of Laidley http://www.cornellpubs.com/Templates...ley%201879.htm

    Or just find an original

Here are a couple of mine one even signed
