Colt M1903 .32cal General Officer Pistol

I had the good fortune of receiving a few collectible firearms recently and I am planning to share them with you all for information. After doing some research this pistol is a Colt M1903 .32 caliber general officer pistol issued to Major General John G. Van Houten the founding father of the Army Ranger Brigade at Ft. Benning, GA. I have a letter from the U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command verifying the pistol was issued and shipped to him in 1951. It also verifies the pistol was issued with a right hand holster which I got with the pistol. Any thoughts on what to do next. I feel a museum, collector of General Officer pistols, or a Ranger Collector may find this pistol very desirable.

Yowza. That's a really great piece.
Lots of folks out there would love one (me included). Not a great percentage of those folks have deep enough pockets (me included, haha).

    Thanks for sharing!

From the feedback I have gotten so far this pistol and holster is worth about $7000 to $10000 because of the history adsociated with the General it was assigned to. I am pretty happy about that!
