I recently traded for the following mags- 4 SEY splitbacks wrapped in a waxy type gauze wrapper , any info on these would be helpful . Never seen these before . 2 pakerized .?? Church magazines , Value ?? 12 SEY NOS Hardbacks in the brown paper wrapper ?? Value ? I know these are rare/ almost impossible to find but none of these mags are used except for one of the church mags. I might sell these if the price is right .

Welcome to the forum! This probably would have gotten more attention if posted over in the M1icon/M2 Carbine section. Sounds like you have some nice mags, and the values could be in the $50-$100+ range depending on how bad a buyer might want them. Here are links to a couple old threads on 30rd. Carbine Mags. Please don't make posts to these, but you should find them helpful in getting an idea of your values. Some of the links in these old threads no longer work, but a few will. There are specific rules to follow regarding selling on this forum. The CMPicon Forums have a pretty good system for Buy/Sell and the prices there will give you an idea as to what others are currently paying. Your "Church" mags were made in Germanyicon. Good Luck! - Bob

    GI Bob,
After a few weeks of watching and searching,
IRM and I were just talking about how they don't seem to be bringing what they did... say 8-10 years ago.
Asking prices are still high but few selling for the current asking prices.

    Welcome Turby to Milsurps
Using Advanced Search: Try searching completed/sold Ebay auctions to get an idea of value to buyers.
NOTE: They will be advertised as 10 round mags there.... Wink... Wink !
They don't allow mags to be sold any larger....... But they will hold 10

You can always list them here on the WTS Forum with your asking price.
If they don't sell, Edit and drop the price.
    Plus No Fees !

    Good Luck

    CH-P777

ETA: Best to post some pictures so you know they are the real thing. No offense meant.

Welcome~ The CHURCH were Germanicon made for the German Military after the war.. They are very scarce in the US. SEYs are fairl;y common. I just picked up two at $65 each. One NOS in original wrapper and one 90% with one rust spot from storage. I actually paid a bit much, as it was Ebay, but but was still happy because of the condition. Gunbroker usually has used SEY or J (Jahn Vietnam era mags) for $50 + or -

Charlie & Bernie, Too late! I already made a deal on all of them! No, just kidding. I saw your thread about prices the other day and thought about linking you to this one. Been too busy trying to catch up on pruning and burning, hoping to get it done before they declare a burn ban until October.

I see the same thing here on mag prices - at least did before all our gun shows were cancelled. I thought $65 was pretty steep for those SEY's but didn't realize one was new NIW. On the carbine parts, I thought that one was a Fatboy - mine has a "2" stamped on it in the same spot. I have pics of two different type S'G' markings on the side - mine is less slanted than some - not sure if those with more slant are real, or not? In a couple days hope to find time to post on that thread. The R.S.G. handguard looked questionable to me. That firing pin looked more like SG mark, but maybe the prime markings were just too feint? User "Jond" and I have been comparing notes on real 30rd mags vs. fake lately. He's got a sharp eye and I think we both learned a bit from each other. Take care, you guys! - Bob

I was trying to compare the Ebay parts lot hammer which I believe was a real Fatboy to the one on the GB auction sold by the guy we know. Markings looked the same to me along with milling marks. I couldn't see if the S'G' hammer on GB had a number on the front, I don't think it did.

I have R.S.G. Hg's here that are stamped so hard you can see the outline, rectangular base of the stamp. Same size/style letters.

IMO Hammer and HG were real. But admit pictures were poor.

jond aka JD is Good people. We stay in touch. I keep trying to find the Vitamin Pill he needs for his launcher, hard to find.

We are way off topic now.

    Racing this weekend !!

Yeah, the stamp looks OK - I was OK with R.S.G. but the wood looks too "brand new" - but guess new ones do exist. Yes, I'll be able to get the race on the regular Fox network here - hope it doesn't rain again! - Bob

Here's a pic of my Fatboy on the right and one of your "buddy" PBI's on the left - from GB. If you look close you can see the 2 on the front of mine.
