    K98 jammed safety

Still helping my friend with the K98icon DOU . It seems that the flag safety is stuck in fire position . I had trouble when first cleaning it for him but thought was cause just grimy . But looks like the safety flab knob is wore and probably should be replaced . He is going to ask me I know "can't I just still shoot it and be careful?" and honestly not sure what to tell him . My thought of a live round being in a gun with a non working safety is no . Fix it . I know lots people CCW with guns with no safety at all which is ok . BUT with this rifle is there anyway for it to slip because of the worn spot and fire . You can pry back and move it . I can replace most parts on my guns but am not a gunsmith and will not make a guess on something like this . It has some other issues but they are cosmetic only .

I ordered a new safety lever or what I call the flag and it functions correctly in all positions now . And if you have not been reading my other post my friend made me a awesome deal on this rifle cause he is into more of the PLASTIC FANTASTIS AR types .
