    Owen smg variations between Mks

I was looking at pictures and drawings of the Owen smg Mk 1 and Mk 2 and noticed that one drawing showed the rear sight being 1/2 from the back of the receiver and another picture drawing showing the same type sight about an inch from the back. Where there other slight variations between the Mks on the Owen that are often not noticed.
