    That makes more sense then.

I was at an arms fair a few years back and he had a stand and I was just ideally looking at some of the stuff while he was talking to a customer and there was mention of EFD and carrying on after the death.....so I assumed that he was the son, rather than a partner.

In which case, I suspect that the son didn't carry on.

I think it was the late Colin Moon (C Moon & Co) who did the wood for EFD. Here's a thread from a couple of years ago on the same subject of building an L42 clone and searches for wood.

Yes, Geoffrey certainly knew Colin & he (Colin) made a lot of (most?) of EFD's wood for them. He also did a nice line in re-profiling No4 butts for the SMLE as well, including the slight reshaping for the SMLE butt plate & the bigger notch for the SMLE safety.

Fultons of Bisley have loads of them, all made by Colin Moon! One of the original contractors appointed by Enfield!

Geoffrey's son did have the intention of carrying on his father's business (EFD) as well, but as mentioned above I'm not sure what has come to pass..........the last time I emailed David I got no response.
I'm not sure that Paul was ever a "partner" in the EFD business, in fact I believe he parted company with them some time before the demise of Geoffrey, you are quite correct that he now trades as "Enfield Guns" and as far as I know he has no connection with the old EFD business.

I may well be wrong Paul, only Geoffrey introduced Paul to me as 'his new partner'.......some years ago at a Bisley show. I don't know how long Geoffrey & Paul were 'together'......

I got an L42 clone made up by fultons, they appeared to have plenty of everything required. I was extremely happy with the result!
