    M1 Carbine C Marked Type 3 BB

Does anyone know if there are any Fake Type 3 BB out there? I just always assumed that the Bayonet Lug was a part that Humpers would find it too much trouble and not too many Collectors Really needed a T3 BB except for the lesser C Mark one from Cowles. I remember when I got hit hard by the bug you never saw them and most Collectors would not part with them for no less than 3 bills on CMPicon. I traded some Mags and a USMC Stock Pouch and only one of my C-Tab Slings. I went through 3 books and old searches but only found what Month & Year they started. If there is anyone that could Please look at this one and tell me what you think it would be Greatly Appreciated. I don't like Fake parts my Carbines. Thank You

don't have another one that can use it I'll just let someone who can use it for a Project or his Winchester

Thank You..I just took some pictures of it outside and it looks really nice. If I had another Winchester I would use it only if it matched the time of it.
It needed pictures from outdoors. I only had that one extra T3 to compare it to. I only have 1 Carbine with a T3 BB the others have T1 and T2 BB after Selling off a few Carbines since March.

Winchester replacement barrel assemblies were found with both Low C and W marked Bayo Bands, possibly other markings also.
    Take care Frank...........

    On Ebay,
    June 5, I seen a Low C sell for $75.00
April 19 was the last High C I seen sell there. It was in nice condition, but had more wear than yours. Colors match. That one sold for $115.50.

No I can't find a Marking anywhere on it and I have one of those Laser lights that light ups down the street with that laser and starts a fire on paper just like it does on the commercial.

Must be a post replacement (?) The Low C bands have the 4 dimple spot welds on top. On the bayo lug, the smaller rivets with a pinched top on the heads, between these the weld spots are small and round. On the front there are no inner barrel pads. The welds on either side of the screw threads (left side) same location as a High C but smaller diameter... much like the 4 welds on the top.

IF there was a low C it would be shorter and have a straight back, instead of the more rounded C on the High C bands.

CCNL #356 Covers many of the Bayo bands in detail.

I have similar to a low C in parts drawers. With no markings, just figured post WWII or for Korea....... Maybe even Foreign made (?)

    Later Chief !
