Bomber Boys, PBS America, UK Freeview Channel

I have been watching some fascinating programs this week which was filmed mainly on a disused base in southern Ontario, Canadaicon and the final part of the mini series would appear to be tomorrow evening. I have found these programs very interesting from a number of different angles, from the people and how they interact together, to the equipment and also to the fact that the programs were made in Canada on a wartime base.

Although the programs concentrate on the Lancaster, a Short's Sterling Bomber is also shown in the archive footage in the introductions etc and was another WW2 Britishicon 4 engined bomber but less successful than the Lancaster or Halifax bombers.
