I know there is no way to get an exact date of manufacture on an M1icon Carbine. But if I give the specifics would it be possible to determine early war, late war or approximate year? I’ve had this gun for about 25 years.

Winchester receiver serial# 12003xx. Winchester barrel. It has the flat bolt. The trigger assembly has “N16” (I don’t recall where), hammer has “TH”, it has a push button safety, mag release has a “W” or “M” and “WA”. Barrel band has “JM” and has a bayonet lug. Forearm is low wood with 4 rivets, stock has oval oiler. Rear site is adjustable with knob on the right. Not sure but rifle may have been parkerized. The wood is mismatched, forearm appears to have seen good use, the stock looks pretty new and is sort of rough hewn in the pistol grip area.

Thanks
