I bought 250 rounds of surplus Greek 30 CAL M2 ammo headstamped HXP 77. I was told it would come in a ammo can but to my surprize it came in a WWII ammo can.

It was interesting that I could still read the prior repacking:

Embossed in the can is: CAL. .30 M1icon AMMUNITION BOX then underneath a layer of paint I can read: 250 CAL 30 BELTED 4 A.P - 1TR REPACKED LOT TW-B 8 25 24

Then the most current yellow painted 250 CAL .30 CARTRIDGES LINKED 4 BALL M2-1TRM25 BALL M2HXP 2018-71 TRM25HXP 6011-71 LOT-L-5 012-HXP-71

Its obvious its been repacked at least twice, and obvious that since the ammo in the can is in plastic and not belted it has been repacked at least once more since the yellow painted label. That is unless someone went to all the trouble of unbelting the ammo and putting it in the can; which I doubt.

Still kind of neat, I don't have one of the ammo cans yet
