    Alian Invaders Use M1 Carbines

Little slow today and the race is on hold because of lightning so thought I'd share this.

Last night I watched a older tv show from the later 60's called The Invaders from Season 2, episode 8 Titled 'Dark Outpost'.
It guess starred Dawn Wells- Mary Ann from Gilligans Island.
They came across a hidden military camp that was being used as a hospital for treating sick Aliens. At the gate they met up with a guard who had a M1icon carbine, flip rear sight and bayonet band. There were 3 or 4 scenes that showed the Alien troops with carbines. It was on at mid-night, wife wasn't real happy about me calling out the features on the carbines as I seen them.
I watched it on a station called Me TV. Worth watching to get a view of the carbines and especially Dawn Wells
When these Aliens die off they glow red and disappear. So does anything they have on or with them.

Here's a link to the show:

And a few stills I could find:

Cool find(s) Charlie! I'd probably stick with watching the usual footage of old races in case the wife popped in to see what I was up to. The usual question is, "isn't it over yet?" - Bob

Agreed, she could have worn a little less though.

I hear you Charlie, if ever there is a program with guns on, my wife always says, " don't" ....

First War film on the other night, so off I go, "Canadians had Ross Rifles at that point in the War"

"Wrong Vickers, the jacket should be Fluted"

"That's wrong too,its a much later Lithgowicon SMLE, see the hole in the front sight ears, well...."

That's all within 5 mins, until my wife shouts " will you shut up, I don't bloody care!!!

I can't help myself, calling out the mistakes, often wonder who the hell checks for accuracy on these things, I could do better with my eyes closed!

Watched a western "history" show a day or so ago where the workers on each side were armed and in conflict over railroad construction rights... The story was fairly factual but really harmed when they showed some of them armed with newer double barrel shotguns - and actually had them with chest bandoliers loaded up with modern rifle ammo... Sigh...

I have learned a bit over the years... whenever my wife comes to watch the tube with me I quickly turn off anything weapons related... Over time you learn...

Maybe you learn. I've been married over 47 years and I still get burned!
