    Unknown luminous sights

    Hello All,

A friend of mine was going through some gun/militaria items he acquired from an estate sale. During his diggings, he found these: A set of luminous sights with no manufacturer markings. He put them on his M1917 Enfield, and the rear seems to fit. The front sight doesn't fit quite right. I thought they might be a set of night sights for the M1918 Browning Automatic Rifle (which had a similar ladder/peep rear like the M1917). Its clear the rear luminous sight was made to fit over the slider of the 1917 sight, but the front is a mystery.

I'm familiar with SMLE's and Long Lee's, but the P14/M1917 are not in my realm.

    Any thoughts? (pics attached)

I am 90% sure I have heard of BAR night sights if that's any help. I remember seeing a sold listing on some website not too long ago. Can't recall what they looked like and can't find the listing, but I do recall them being a thing. Wish I could be more helpful.

Edit: found the listing, doesn't look to be the same, although the shape of the luminous bit is so maybe there is some relationship between the two.
