Looks like somebody succeeded in sanding off the Ordnance crossed-cannons on the stock. It definitely is an interesting carbine but as already established, is not in factory condition or service condition. However, that band appears to be the only one its had on it, which rules out any kind of rebuild - but at the same time it has a late bolt and some replacement parts. It seems to have been heavily used, or at least moved around and handled a lot. Its a mystery carbine that I would expect to see listed for $900. Condition of bore and muzzle wear are also important factors.

Going back to the flip sight, reason I pointed it out was it looks like there is a ~ after the S. Hard to tell it might just be a ding there and not a ~ ? I have only seen the S~ on earlier Inland rifles. Would be good to get a picture of the other side.

Thank you. I would be happy to get more photos. I believe there is a flat bolt with the box of parts.

I just looked up the bolt and it has the S'G' marking.

It comes with a box of parts? Even better! What else is in there? The flat bolt is a good start but you should probably have it checked out since it may have a problem and thus the round bolt replacement.
