Webley MKVI Stamped ENGLAND on/through Barrel

Anyone seen a Webley marked like this before? I'm assuming it is an old import/export mark of sorts. The stamping is visible inside the barrel, which is otherwise absolutely perfect. It is a bit rough finish wise, but mechanically is about as good as one could expect from a 102 year old weapon of war. Cylinder is not shaved.

    Looks like individually hand stamped.

Just a guess, but it looks like one of the home made revolvers made in one of the middle east countries....

No, it isn't. Know to be in the USAicon since the early 50's. Purchased from the estate of the man that owned it for ~70 years.

I don't think so either, this one's good but the hand stamping is a bit heavy handed. The fine stamps are perfect which they aren't on home brewed.
