I can't say what's available around you or online...but the Yugo SKS was a fine made piece of ord. Their Yugo 70s were good AKs too. They made an AK in 8mm Mauser and used AP ammo for standard ammo... If you could get a couple of their standard SKS they would be nice. This one you have in hand will eventually call to out to shoot and you'll like it ok then too... 6 kids... I have three and five grandkids. So maybe ONE will want my stuff.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I have been wanting a Yugo for years, they are hard to come by in California because of the grenade launcher. You can't own one if CA with one on the rifle. I've yet to find a shop that will remove it and ship the rifle to CA. I'm hoping to find some on my next trip to TEXAS, I'll remove the launcher prior to bringing it into this communist state. I have my grandkids asking for my rifles too, I'm lucky I guess that all of my kids love to shoot. At least I know my guns will be kept and maintained once I have moved on.
