Advice on where I can get Garand Cheek Pad

Does anyone have a reliable source that sells good reproduction M1icon Garand Cheek pads? I recently bought one and it was total garbage. I thought rather than doing 'buy and return' process of elimination I'd ask y'all for a reliable source.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. I have learned, the hard way, when it comes to these on eBAY what they say and show when it arrives is nothing like the original or even a good reproduction. I've ordered twice and both times have got some cheap article and wasted $30.00 on each, Which is why I posted the question here hoping for a reliable source.

At this point, I might be better off just spending the time to make my own reproduction.

Too bad I didn't keep some we had here. Our storesie ordered in some "Cheek rests" he found in the fisch years gone by(about 1990) and thought they might be for the new C7 (M16A2). He showed me one of the dozen or so he had just received and they were original in the wrap cheek rests like you seek. Probably a hold over from M14s though. NEW! I didn't even take one and have no idea what happened to them.

Yes, Ebay can be a dick to work from.

Try here Cheekpiece, Sniper w/ Leather Lace & 2 Brass Mounting Screws | Gun Parts. It's a reproduction but I have fairly good luck with Numrich.

Bear, Thanks... That looks almost exactly like the last two I bought that didn't cut the cake. Have you bought one from them?

Left one might have been OK if it had horsehair filler.

Not a cheek pad but other stuff. I don't need a cheek pad for an M1.
I almost purchased one for an M1Aicon some years ago but when I was active duty I attended a "Reconnaissance and Target Interdiction Course" in the early 80s. We had to make our own cheek pad for our M21s. They consisted of military grade Kotex pads taped to the rifle but with green "100mph" tape. We asked about the M1 cheek pad but the instructors said that the pads were constructed for the offset scope that was used on the M1 and would not work on the M21.
Later I purchased a leather cheek pad from Cabela's and it works great with or without a scope.

I know it wasn't what you asked Bill...but if you got hold of those felt insoles for boots you could cut the correct form to fit the shape. It's the same sort of filler you find in the issue...I think they were two layers for those of us with prominent cheeks, so we could remove one layer. I speak hopeful of the one on left you showed, light tan and close to spec?
