    C&R Addiction reboot

I've been away from the C&R collection for a few years getting things straight in my life but I'm back. In the past year Ive picked up a few sporters to restore to pass my time and spend my money on.

My latest project is a 1940 337 K98icon. Its was in a gaudy sporterized laminated stock. I still have the brass medallions he embedded into the stock and from the brass medallions it was acquired in Italyicon in 1945. Normally you see a four digit serial with a letter suffix. I'm not kidding when I say it's a low serial number rifle. SN# is 55. And to drive the restoration on it's also all matching. All I need is a laminated stock kit and possibly a bayonet to finish restoring the rifle.

    Other projects in the works:
    3/19 Springfield 1903 Mark 1
    1935 S/42G K98
    1940 Mas36

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. A store was going out of business and started to discount their inventory. I originally went to get a M39 Mosin. But with a few moments of haggling I walked out with both. BTW I paid $400 for the M39

I prefer to spend my money on guns, liquor, and women. Everything else is just wasted.

Definately worse things to spend your money on, and considering recently I only buy if I see a deal (and as such don't really know what my next purchase is) you don't lose money that way.

If you delete the women, you'd have heaps more to spend.
