    Sarco Mk3 Bren Kit

Here are some pics of my Sarco Mk3 Bren Semi auto. Puts a smile on my face every time I shoot it.

I often though about buying one of the kits but don;t know the laws around reassembling these in the US. It would seem that welding it back together might reclassify the firearm as a NFA

usabaker, there is a procedure for doing the re-weld. You do need to have some of the denial features installed as you go. I would expect, if you got to the 80% complete stage, and had NO denial features, then yes, it would be moving you into NFA territory. If you get some of the denial features set up as you go, it should not be an issue. Lots of guys here should be able to give better input, as I am not a builder, just a connoisseur.

Nice build SNAFU. Did you turn your barrel down to lighten? Surprised you didn't shorten while at it?

Hi AmEngRifles, thanks. I profiled it to look like a Mk4 barrel. I did all my own work, but I copied other peoples designs and read and reread the tutorials. The stock and pistol grip are home (USA) made along with some other parts to comply with 922r. I enjoy making them as much as I do shooting them. The interweb abounds with facts, as always the best legal advice will come from an attorney. I have built a 1919A4-A6, an MG42, an MG34, and the Bren. I have an SG43, 1918 BAR, Suomi M31 and KP44 parts kits to add to my little WWII collection and keep me busy for a while. You can see the MG34 in the last pic behind the Bren. I hope everyone is healthy and safe. These are very interesting times we live in.
