    K11 Rebarrel - Action Wrench?

We have a K11 in the shop for a rebarrel. Fairly straightforward except for... it has a tapered receiver. Does anyone have a trick for holding on to the action? I am leaning towards lead sheets inside the small-ring Mauser wrench as that seems closest. Otherwise I am a bit stumped on how to make secure contact with the action ring.

    Thanks!
