    03A4 Bolt Question

I'm looking at a Remington 03A4 rifle that I'm certain has quite a few problems. I suspect the bolt is one of them, but wanted to get opinions on it's authenticity before making an offer. It does not look like what's in my Grade B CMPicon rifle. Appreciate everyone's thoughts.

Hi George, It's not an original a4 bolt. The handle has been welded on. It doesn't look too bad from the outside. It would be OK for a clone but I wouldn't want it on an original a4. Salt Flat

I didn't think it was right. The rifle has lots of issues. It's a real A4 receiver, but has been heavily buffed, 03A3 barrel, commercial scope base and likely a scant stock that was not an A4 originally as the bolt cutout doesn't look right. It does have a real M84 scope. Think I'll pass on this one. Thanks for the reply.

Yea, The buffed receiver would turn me off too. I guess if it were the right price with the scope it might be ok. The buffed receiver could be possibly be bead blasted and parkerized but it is still a lot of fooling around. Do you have any more pictures? Salt Flat

Those scopes are crazy expensive. Could be worth the asking price alone!

It's so heavily buffed that the U.S. on the receiver is gone. As best as I can tell the scope is the best part of it, but the scope isn't worth $2400. I think you'll see what I mean when you look at the photo. Thanks again guys!
