THE IRONY WAS NEVER LOST ON ME

Not wishing to teach anyone how to suck eggs..................I always found it absolutely astonishing that the number plate on Franz Ferdinands car was A 11 11 18.
With the approach of Remembrance Day across the world on the 11th November I though I would give you guys something to think about and the irony of the finish date being on the car that started it all...........the war to end all wars!!

The actual car was an Austrian-built 1910 Gräf & Stift double phaeton powered by a 32-horsepower 4-cylinder engine and owned by Count Franz von Harrach, who was an officer in the Austrian army's transport corps.

They say it's all numbers in the end.

History is full of strange coincidences; Hitler and Pte. Tandey VC for example. (I don't necessarily buy the debunking and isn't it sad they can't tell the photo of Tandy was flipped and his VC is at the wrong end of his medal mounting!)

“There are invisible rulers who control the destinies of millions. It is not generally realized to what extent the words and actions of our most influential public men are dictated by shrewd persons operating behind the scenes.”

    Edward Bernays, 1928

Much changes, much remains the same.
