    As suggested, get closer and see. You'll probably find oblong holes because you aren't stabilizing. If they want a gas check use it. If you're loading full house loads with regular powders and un gas checked bullets, you're blowing them straight through the rifling. Even when using the gas checks, you might want to consult a book like Lyman lead bullets to get the loads. You may be loading them too hot.

    Yes when weather clears up will move closer . Was suggested maybe was casting to soft or powder charge was to much and causing the bullet to be unstable and flying off to who knows were . Will add some tin to lead and make some more bullets and some other loads to have ready for end of week when rain is to move out . I cast for some black powder guns that use pure lead or very little tin and mark my ingots but maybe used wrong lead ?? Maybe ?? I need to read more on gas checks also , never used them but have used bullet without them with good results BUT this rifle may just be the oddball and need them with this bullet . We shall see .
