.303 British load with IMR 4064 SMLE No1

I've reloaded for other calibers for years but I've never found such conflicting info as I have with .303 Britishicon. I look at one manual and the loads for IMR 4064 max out at the start loads in another manual. The velocities listed are nowhere near the same. Does anyone have a good load for .303 British and IMR 4064 that they have used in a Lee Enfield No.1 Mk3?

The info in ALL those publications is good. The difference is in the lawyer's views of safe margin. If you find it in published books on reloading that is put out by reputable companies, you have recourse. You're asking the blackness of the internet for loads so you can say..."A guy told me to try this"...

Stay in the books and work your loads up from them.
    Regards, Jim

I ditched 4064 (our equivilant ADI's AR 2208) as being too sharp as its a fast powder think when I was using quick load I went with 174Gn projies 42gns (2440Fps* projected) I shot that for a while the recoil pulse was just tireing after a 96 round matches.
So I went with ADI's AR 2209 slower powder (46Gns) (Hogdon H414) but like any responsible reloader start at 40 grains and load up checking for pressure signs, I take no responsibility you using this information supplied this was with 174SMK HPBT, 174Gn HPFB Bullet Factory, Taipan 174Gn HPFB and 174Gn Highland. I stress you have to do this for every projectile your using just do not assume one load will have the same pressure for each projie as their ogive profiles are all different thus engage at different times in the ignition event. You have to do the yards like we all had to at the range its really the only way to see what works and what does'nt, thats why they have big red letters in manuals and on load data programs basically. "Use at your own peril".
