Were bolts swapped at the Italian arsenals after ww2

I have a beautiful cavalry carbine which I believe was one of the recent imports from Italyicon. The bolt feels a little sticky and I want to know if it was common for bolts to be swapped at the arsenal before they were shipped to the US?

"Swapped" sounds like a deliberate action. So in the sense of bolts being deliberately mixed up - I doubt it.
But accidentally mixed up as a result of bolts being shipped separately from the rifles - quite possible.

Carcanos didn't have matched bolts. The earliest examples were serialized but early on they decided they had kept their tolerances high enough that they didn't need to serialize the bolts to the rifle and could just grab any bolt for any rifle.
