    My Klein’s Carcano pics

Here is my “Klein’s” special. After about 20-25 years of searching I finally found one, a Riva-Refurbed M38 1940 Terni 6.5 “black” stock with “MADE ITALY” stamp and even a C-block serial number. I have located and installed a NOS ordnance optics 4x18!scope and mount from the original supplier in California. Attachment 112742
the mount was ground to the same shape as the LHO mount on the same machine by the same employee that did it in 1963. This rifle was never stained or made to replicate the LHO rifle. It is in the original condition that the man I bought it from received it in sometime in the “early 60s” all I have done is located the scope and mount and have it installed I asked the original owner if he remembered where he bought it and he did not, but he said he “sent away for it” Attachment 112743

    Milt Klein

I knew Milt Klein as I was friends with one of his sons. Klein's had been in business in Chicago for many years, even sold Thompson submachine guns during the 1920.s.

Klein was quite upset after the Oswald purchase was traced to his business and soon sold off the retail stores but kept ownership in Gun Digest for some years. He was a very nice man to talk with and always polite.

photo shows Klein's house where he lived in 1963 which was located about one hour north of Chicago a few blocks from Lake MichiganAttachment 112811
