He doesn't like me....... I'm "Rude".

The stock above took me 2 days to remember where the Still Sweet 20 came from.
The Hold Uper Dio took me a hour and a half today.
Damn near used up my 12 year + trade school education to do so though

Deldriver and Wayne made fun of me forgetting the NATO stamp in the other stocks slingwell. This will test those Hay Seeds !!

To Add: W5USMC - Wayne has already thrown in the towel, crying No Mas, No Mas !!
He went down quicker than Duran vs Sugar Ray Leonard.

Yes Charlie, I told you I gave up but I really am doing a little searching. In my search for "still sweet 20" it led me to a lesbian porn site, don't think that's the answer.

The ones Rick has probably were done while guys sat in the Hurtgen or Ardennes sort of thing. Charlie's carbine may have been later like RVN...sounds more like that sort of mind.
    Regards, Jim

I know it was a recent purchase by the guy. I see it has a Type II band, Checkered safety, Flip sight, low wood, but haven't seen anything close but the same pics you guys see in the album. Wait !! I didn't link the album, I'll post the link below, but basically just pics of carvings.

    Following are his words:

"Inland M1icon Carbine with a serial number of 870196 which I believe was manufactured in 1943. It had a wartime rebarrel. I traded an M1 Garand for it but the coolest part was that it had some stock graffiti. The story goes from the owner before the guy I bought it from that that graffiti was done during the war."

'Carved Eagle on Shield or Dove with Tail Feathers Spread ?'

Reminds me of the 'Ruptured Duck' from 1945. This was a pin or 'medal' that returning soldiers could wear on their uniform until they could get civvies again. It came to be seen by the G.I.s still to be discharged as a very desirable item. The carving is not exactly like it but it has a similar 'feel'. Maybe the 'artist' only had a glimpse of one or only a description.
'Really Senior Member' Especially since I started on the original Culver forum. That had to be about 1998.
