    I always completely disassemble, clean and inspect any milsurplus rifles I buy before reassembling and shooting. So I'll be on the lookout for any issues.

    I did not see a reference to these markings in the link you sent. And they were not discussing P14's. Did I miss something?

    I'm sorry, I missed the picture and second page of the link.
    It sounds like the marks may indicate Greek service.

    I found reference on another site to Greek service and that it might translate as "Out of service"

    Lot of P-14s were passed to Greece in 1946/47 for their civil war.
