    Just for fun.

My 1942 Ishapore #1Mk111 is one of the many converted to .410 Gauge years ago. Further, it has had a 3 round magazine installed that works perfectly. I'd like to shoot it with brass cases and slugs or round balls in lieu of shot shells. What powder and load would be OK? Nate

Jim, in looking into this it turns out that shotgun barrels allow for a slug only about one thousandths over the tightest part of the bore. (that's what the slug people said) Rather than fool with it, I'll stick to factory slugs.

    Nate:

I used to shoot 3 000 buck out of my full choked Winchester 42. I don't remember the load, but it was a standard 3" load, with the 3 000 buck substituted for 11/16 (or 3/4) ounces of shot.

It was a wicked little load.......
