    info or Any Help on this Rifle Henry Boker 22

    hopefully someone can point me in the right Direction I have an old military trainer style single shot 22 the only markings on this rifle are Henry Boker germany 22LR no other markings on rifle at all here is a sight to see pics of rifle Progress is fine, but it's gone on for too long.: Henry Boker .22 rifle

    I assume it was made for export; seeing as it's marked Germanyicon and not Deutschland.

    of that i,m not sure as I haven,t been able to find any records books or any other info to tell me who made it as Boker was big into Knifes and such I assumed they had someone else build with there name on it but we all know what assumed can do so this is why i put it out there someone knows about this rifle somewhere

    The action looks similar to a Gew 1888 or a Mannlicher, but scaled down in size.

    "...marked Germanyicon and not Deutschland..." Being marked with a country of origin is an American thing as I recall. Hence the English.
    It seems Herr Boker made or sold a lot of outdoorsy stuff. Knives, air rifles and shotguns too.
    There's a U.S. Civil War US Model 1860 Light Cavalry Saber on Guns International. Gives us an approximate date he was working.
    Spelling and Grammar count!

    If it was made for the home market I'm not sure that it would say anything? When one thinks about it there are numerous examples of German made products/equipment, not for export, where it doesn't actually state the fact that it was made in Germanyicon, in German or any other language.

    markings

    the only markings i can find on rifle anywhere are on frame in front of bolt it has two bars an arrow an X thru arrow and a star below arrow that is it other than Henry Boker then Germanyicon beside the name no other markings
