    East Asian Handguns Help

    Hello all!

First let me start by saying that I'm brand new to this forum so please forgive any breach of etiquette. Anyways, on to the meat and potatoes...

I'm looking to start collecting any and all cartridge firing, East Asian handguns. Be they domestic, foreign imports, military and police, or civilian, I'm just fascinated by them. However, the amount of literature on them seems to be pretty sparse, and what is written is pretty unobtainable for a semi-broke college kid. Can you guys recommend any good research materials to help start my collection? I've already found "Japaneseicon Military Cartridge Handguns 1893-1945" which I may buy when my tax return comes in and I am waiting to pre-order a copy of Ian McCollum's "Pistols of the Warlords". But besides those two I'd be happy for any other suggestions.

Cartridges of the World, newest edition, might help too.
