US & S 1911A1 frame only.

I frequently see complete and/or mismatched 1911A1's with US & S slides for sale. I occasionally US & S slides for sale. I do not recall ever seeing simply a US & S frame for sale. Surely there have to be some out there....the partner to those solo slides?

My grandfather worked at US & S during the war (not on the 1911 line as far as I know) and I currently live about 5 miles from the shopping strip mall that was built on top of the old US & S plant location.

Yes, I have a US & S slide, currently on a Colt frame.....but would like to piece together a complete pistol. The slide has been reparked, so not necessarily looking for an original Du0Lite finished one.

If anyone has one, or has a lead on one....I am very interested.
