Did Singer make 1903a3's? Maybe you meant to ask
"What markings were on the 1903a3 sight protectors that were manufactured by Singer?"
If not, then this is very interesting and I'll anxiously await one of our better informed members to chime in. I've never read that anyone other than Remington and SC made 1903a3. None of my print references, or my just-now-internet searches, have mentioned otherwise. I know several companies made small parts.

that thread I linked to seems to be the best answer that I could find.
I doubted myself for a moment because I found a single ebay listing for a "Singer" 1903a3 front sight cover with an S stamp - but no references anywhere to whether or not they made 03 parts.

Speaking of front sight protectors, here's a pic stolen from CMPicon forums, staged but a neat pic. At least shows the front sight protectors in place. Lots of early and neat equipment.

interesting pic. those bolt bodies look to be in the white. I shoot my A3 with the protector on when outdoors - but indoors I might as well have my eyes closed when pulling the trigger.
