    1903 Modified

May I solicit some opinions of originality to this Remington 1903 modified hardware serial number range 309X?

    Thanks in advance.

It appears to be a full Remington M1903 barreled action which has seen an arsenal overhaul with parkerized finish. Serial number should have three more Xs, as in, 309XXXX. It would need an RLB inspected stock with grasping grooves to be completed.

Thank and yes, it is 309XXXX range. However, I thought the range for a "modified" would not have the grooves on the stock. Am I mistaken?

    Thank you for the response

As it is a rebuild, an 03-A3 stock without grasping grooves would be fine

    "Modified"

Elevation screw is OLD SA or RIA. Cocking Piece SA 1918-1920,Rear Sight Ladder and Front Sight Protector should be "R" marked as well.
