    Welcome out Eddie,
    Congrats on posting Bail

Your barrel is longer, you've only measured it back to the front of the gas cylinder.
Measure it from the muzzle back to the backside of the front receiver ring- Chamber area.

Or measure like Jim - BAR mentioned back in reply #29 by using a cleaning rod, until you touch the closed bolt.

    Don't cut yourself 'Short'

Question for you and you don't need your Lawyer present:
Any markings on your rear Flip Sight Base and or / on the Leaf ?

My guess is a 15" barrel if that picture was taken with the handguard and rear sight still in place. Didn't feel like taking one apart to compare the measurement between the gas cylinder and muzzle. - Bob

    GI Bob,
    You drinking again ?
You can see in the picture that at least the stock is off.
Would the barrel be longer or shorter with the HG Off ?
I'm trying to figure your angle.

Been a long Winter there hasn't it Ole boy ?

Only had about a week of winter, so far - in the 50's here today.

Remember that earlier, we had a discussion on how to get the gun apart - because it sounded like the hole in the top of his HG was too small to let it come off without removing the sight first.
Weren't you late getting here again on this one? EDIT: I was wrong again - he was here the 1st day it was posted!

BAR suggested drifting out the pin to remove the sight leaf. You were anxious to see the Rock-Ola parts inside, so I suggested sliding the band forward and lifting the action out with the HG attached.

I thought this recent picture might have been taken with the action out and the HG still held in place by the rear sight. I don't know what order he took his pictures in!

Go measure how far it is from the gas cylinder to the muzzle on one of yours - about 3" more?

Don't be pickin' on us old guys all the time! - Bob

    Do you have more M1s or WW2 guns? I have a P08
    Inland SN 2490XX, whats yours?

Eddy, Possible long shot here, Is the Inland name altered in any way? can you post a picture. (is Charlie is now saying to himself Ahh!?)
I am guessing the Rockola name on the barrel is not present due to it being shortened?

    Best, Dan

    Hey Charlie,

I was on vacations at Puerto Vallarta.

Tx for your concern and the bail.

This is the only mark I found in the rear sight and leaf.
