    Announcement $432.00 Rock Ola Sight

Was thinking about bidding when there was about 1 hour left while it was at ~ $175.00.
But as it quickly rose in price I dug my 1 extra out and it looked better and better to me as the Auction price climbed.

RR marked base, BR on the leaf sold for $432.00..... Well actually $431.99 + Ship.
I'll bet even Ed had to smile about his one.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. Makes me think about all the carbines in all the various makers and parts combinations we had on hand here back about mid '70s. Who would have guessed a $175CDN carbine would ever be worth anything more...?
    Regards, Jim

    I hear you Jim.
I'm thinking the Humpers will be gearing up for 24-7-365 production.
I messaged the seller telling him that sale should be a great start to his weekend.
His words- " I just looked at it, it's just a flip sight.... have people gone crazy? "

I remember maybe 10 years ago buying a WRA and Inland that were correct except the previous owner had their trigger housing assemblies swapped around backward. He wanted $400 for the pair. When he dug out the 2 C tip slings I tried to give him $500 which he would NOT take. As I packed them up he was still pulling magazines, pouches and 4 or 5 boxes of ammo saying they went with them. We had met at his friends house where he had stored them which was sorta closer for me. I tried to leave the extra $100 with him but he didn't want to get in the middle of it. I managed to leave that extra $100 with the friends Wife who had been hauling coffee back and forth to us while I was there. I have a picture of that haul laid on the table when I got home. IIRC there were about 12- 15rd mags and 3- 30rd hardbacks along with some J marked 30's. Felt guilty about that deal but he was grinning as I left like he'd sold me a car that a rod would be knocking on before I hit the highway. What could I do ? I seen him again maybe 5 years later when I was picking up a Colt and Rem Rand from one of the other guys from our gun buying group. He asked about them with that same 'Gotcha Grin'.

I will admit I've been after a real S'G' flip so long that I'd 'Go Crazy' to buy it and put a end to it. Don't care what anyone would say about it either.

    Safe Weekend

I had a couple bids in there but bailed out when it went over 275. I need a rough looking Rockola flip but not for $432.
