    1911 and 1911a1 Collector Introduction

Dear Sirs, it is great interest and enthusiasm that I have the opportunity to expound on my newly created profile, as I am a new contributing member, and happy to be here. Once my father who had a distinguished army career discovered my interest in shooting, he had me shooting an ACE .22lr conversion on top of his US&S lower. I still have that conversion unit U-159 and the complete and all original US&S as issued mostly to army air corps servicemen during WWII. In short, I am a collector of 1911 and 1911a1's of which I have 9 to date. Four of which are a1's including 2 US&S's and two Colts. Two 1911's, one a first year production 1912 at 95% and a 1918 black army 90%. At the risk of sounding like a snob, I am none the less very proud if my collection to date. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Skidsteer1. PS I am also a CAS and Wild Bunch shooter who reloads.
