Parker Hale M82 serial number range?

    New member, first time post.
Any Parker Hale enthusiasts know the prefix's and serial number range of the M82?
My understanding, it was in service from 1973-2001?
    Thank you

Most during that period will be R and S prefix.

M82 and 1200TX actions are not in a unique serial block, they are numbered with commercial sporters as Parker Hale received the actions from Santa Barbara already serial numbered.

I can as the holder of what is left of the Holy Grail which is Parker Hales recorded/tests history, I can confirm P, R & indeed S feature as pre stamps for the M82 Rifle.

If you show the complete number I can check to see if they feature on the M82 lists that remain and any history. However, There is only only entry close to either of your start numbers ie S33949.

Hi Gil, certainly a valuable document you have there...The full serial numbers I have here are...
    P40942 & S33239.
Any information or history you have on those including year of manufacture would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Jae,
As stated above I did a search on the first three numbers of each and the closes to yours was S33949.
Clearly those records were burnt or destroyed like a lot of valuable history no P409's at all.

    Parker Hale M82 serial number

    Hi there Gil.
I've come across another M82 here in New Zealandicon... serial number S-04840.
Any record of this on your PH files?

Nothing recorded on that rifle. Any further questions could you ask them on the Parker Hale forum please.
