Nice "Hi-Wood" Inland Stock - just sold today on eBay

I bid a couple times on this one, but didn't get it. The more I think about it, and the value of the HG and metal, I should have bid at least $100 higher than I did. What do some of you other INLAND guys think of it? It's about the best one I've seen in awhile, but haven't been to a gun show in over a year - thought it had a good "honest" appearance to it. - Bob

I've learned to ASK for a picture with a Action in it after doing a Buy Now for $400 for the same style stock a few years ago.
I messaged the seller and asked if he'd hold shipping until I returned from my Fathers Funeral. The stock was purchased for a friend. I received it but didn't get back to that project for 4 or 5 weeks.
When I put the early 6 digit Inland Action in it there was so much trigger housing hanging out you could see over 1/2 of the trigger spring in the back. The recoil plate screw hung out 3/8" from the nut.
I still have it here and have tried shimming the TH at the frt and rear. But sadly dis-appointed in my rushed purchase. Should have asked for the picture.

    GIBOB,
It looks very much like your posted one. Take my suggestion.. Get a assembled picture.

Charlie, I did feel I was rushing on it a bit. I have the same need here, for a 6 digit Inland that came to me in a Winchester stock. The pictures weren't the best, but I did communicate with the seller about a couple concerns, one being the condition of the recoil shelf. I was totally satisfied with the answers I got from him.

It's going to be a long time I think, before another one comes up - and as we both know the prices are only gonna' go higher. Maybe the high bidder will return it and I'll get another chance at it, but very doubtful unless he expects it to be perfect. Bidding on this one made me think of our buddy JimF - he was still looking for one of these, too. Thanks! - Bob
