    Mauser K98 (1941)

    Hello Everyone,

I have a very nice 1941 Portuguese contract Mauser K98icon, with ALL matching numbers, and German Eagles.

This is one of the batch the German Military kept for combat use.

Does anyone have an idea on value please? I have a rough idea myself, but have seen some widely varying figures.

    Thanks!

Wow, that one is really NOS condition. Is the bayonet matching numbers to the rifle as well?

No, not matching numbers unfortunately, although it is the correct one for this rifle.

The value of a K98kicon rifle depends a lot on the country it is in. I can't speak for Canadaicon, but over here in Europe you should be able to get around 1500 Euro for this rifle. Maybe you should try asking on the k98kforum.com - there are Canadian members in there that specialize on the K98k rifle and should know better for your home market than I do!

I could see that bringing $3-4000 on a day of brisk bidding here in the U.S.

    Hello Jon,
To answer your question, I have seen the prices on these rifles range depending on condition and who the buyer of the rifle is. But, none the less, rifles with matching bayonet can go for anywhere between 2,000 dollars and 4,000 dollars. I have seen some go higher in auction on a good day. If the bayonet doesn't match, you can probably try to find the bayonets matching rifle and sell the bayonet separately. Just the rifle would sell for about 1500-1800 dollars. (These are U.S. prices. The higher end rifles are rifles brought down from Canadaicon with no import marks. When you bring a gun into the US now, it is import marked and loses value)
