And you can't fix stupid either John.
There have been some "Carnival type Protests" in Franceicon. Basically thousands of young idiots partying in the streets, dancing, vandalising stuff, setting fire to stuff no masks. to complain about lockdown. The CRS had to break them up.
    What a bunch of twats!

Thats what we need in the UKicon a type of independant SRS head crackers unit other than the Police.
Every country has them, those that motivate others to revolt and cause misery and damage whereever they go, most of whom sponge off the State and never have any intention of working for a living.
What is worse the very same people would have been called up to do National Service had it remained in this country

National Service in Franceicon only ended in the early 90's. It's a shame, because it was a good way to get kids out of home and teach them how to be useful adults.
We are now starting to see the same type of gang violence as you've got in the UKicon.

My son who is still serving in the Army, says they don't want a national service restored, because times have changed seriously, and you will be training those who will put what they are taught to good use when they come out, and someone who doesn't want to be there anyway, will be a pain to control!!!!
No wars YET! so I am sure like Isreal and others it will be restored at some stage as we reduce our Army by 10,000 in the integrated defence review on Monday, and if the Russians do kick off and try to get back thos e valuable areas they lost under previous Presidents!!
We are just as bad, we are increasing our Nuclear weapons in line with Russiaicon.........sad to see................. Reagan will be turning in his grave. As it would appear it was a pointless proliferation exercise now!! With the retaking of Crimea and no action by NATO which is what it was set up for..............is in effect a Toothless Dragon IMHO

our city was again closed for lockdown, public transport is still working, but with restrictions, only half of the seats, and this is already a problem. all establishments such as cinemas, bars, restaurants, shops, etc. are closed .... we already have 18k cases in the last day and this is quite a lot, we are similarly covered by the third wave of covid

I came back yesterday evening after a few days in Germanyicon.
Traveling is no fun anymore. Between Monday at noon and Thursday evening, only one meal in a restaurant (dinner at the hotel restaurant, with limited menu), the rest sandwiches and cold stuff.
But the most incredible thing is that no one asked me about my PCR test at the airport when flying over to Germany, and in Italyicon there was some confusion about the documents/certifications they wanted from me to avoid the quarantine when I came back.
In the end, I just filled my self-declaration and went home.
The Police told me to contact the health organisation in my hometown, but the rules on the Internet say that I have to only if I have been more than 120 hours abroad, which I was not.
I wrote that I had been checked every day at every customer's site before being allowed in and just...went.
Let's see if that will backfire, but I don't think so.
I find it foolish that, after more than one year, the EU has not even tried to fix common rules. Rather tough rules for everyone even when things get better here and there than this chaos, this uncertainty.
The EU is hanging herself to the highest tree.
In the moment of the utmost need, she's doing nothing (when we're lucky), otherwise she causes trouble.

Sad to see, eating itself up from inside and blaming a lot on the UKicon!! Crazy when we librated many of the countries during WW2.........now all forgotten, as greed and blame take hold, because we ordered our vaccines before the EU did.

That was what I said months ago and just a couple weeks ago on this thread. Once again, not just in EU but here, USAicon, UKicon...anywhere. Nothing is being done the same, you can't get a collar on things this way. All they could agree on was pandemic...and we've seen none of it here.
    Regards, Jim

The EU have exported over 20 million vaccines doses to the UKicon. But apparently the UK has refused to export vaccine to the EU.
This is supposed to be the argument regarding Vaccine according to the news sources in Franceicon.
However one has to wonder why; if producing vaccines in the UK and the EU that you would need to export both ways! Surely it would be easier to use what's already being produced locally and then export when your demand is met!
    Or is that too simple?

Obviously the UK is way ahead on vaccinations, they've got well organised.
But I suspect that because of the UK's efficiency with the vaccine roll out; there is some jealousy from the EU countries, which is creating severre problems for business' in the EU that deal in UK produce.
We are having problems with some parts order's. Particularly big stuff or dangerous goods. We are waiting for stuff stuck in customs for many weeks. Before Brexit it would take 3 days for car batteries for example. We've been waiting over 6 weeks for a batch of 12 batteries. Plus a gearbox for a brand new car that is now blocked for over a week in Germanicon Customs.
No clue why it didn't get shipped straight to France. It's not just us though; the Marks and Spencer's food store in Paris has had serious problems with fresh goods from the UK. Lot's of bare shelves; that can't be good for business.
Hopefully these issues will get ironed out quickly. It's in no-ones interest to kill off the trade.

Au contraire, support of Brexit was marginal and age-related. Playing little games like this will make many change sides out of mere frustration.

The problem of course is that the pro-Brexit side seem to have no real PRO-ACTIVE vision of what they will offer as an alternative.

The obvious and only option is to focus on making Britainicon again a manufacturing and exporting power, with world markets as the target.

If the home team can't figure out how to do that, one could always hire some Japaneseicon, Germanicon or Korean experts to give advice - experts generally work for whoever pays them.
