    22 TRAINER

Just received my Trainer. Found this one a few weeks back and it is in my hands. Love the wood, it has a lot of figuring. The bore looks like it was never shot. I got a good one at a great price i think for $650 total i`m a happy guy.

I`ll get more detailed pictures in the morning. I am a very happy guy. Have only function shot it yesterday after disassembly and cleaning. Looks like she is all there but the spring under the nose cape is missing. She shoots great i can`t wait to get out back to the range on a day that isn`t threatening rain so i can see what she really does.

I just love the wood on this rifle. So Please inform me about my newest treasure. I know nothing about the SMLE at all let alone the Trainers. Except what i have gathered in the last few weeks. So the front sight has a very small 25 mark at the bottom of the sight rail is that a 25m mark i assume?? And the side of the receiver has a tale to tell i wish i could see clearly.

The only rust is a little pitting on the wrist and the one bad spot on the barrel at the receiver. the rest of the barrel has great bluing. Would that have been done by Parker and Hale when it was lined?

You have a bonus - not only does it have the Cooey rear sight, it also has the correct .22 trainer rear mid sight. You will have to show a picture of the muzzle to determine if the barrel has been lined.
