New Manufactured P14 Pads and Rings 7/8ths or 1 Inch

Newly manufactured in the UKicon - P14 pattern scope mounting pads and rings. The rings are available in 7/8ths for Patt 1918 scopes or 1 inch for Aldis scopes.

The parts have been manufactured from the original drawings, as well as they can from such hard to read images. The front pad fits the breech of the P14 perfectly.

All tenons and recesses have been deliberately manufactured a few thou oversize/undersize to allow for hand fitting and collimation by the gunsmith. The rear pad lever also required filing and fitting to ensure tight lock up with the rear ring.

They are not perfect reproductions so cannot be passed off as original, but they are very good and well made. The front pad is reminiscent of the BSA pattern, being squarer in side profile, however, with a couple of hours careful linishing and hand finishing, it can be reduced to the more curved original pad shape, see comparison photos.

    Each set comprises:
    Front pad
Steel rod for fitting through front pad
    Rear Pad
Rear Pad Lever and retaining screw
Front Ring incl locking screw (either 7/8ths or 1 inch)
Rear Ring incl locking screw (either 7/8ths or 1 inch)

Originals were oil blacked, these are left in the white for fitting and finishing. Made from Mild Steel.

We currently have a set of these with Richard Stork at The Devizes Gunsmith for fitting. Photos to follow when he gets time to fit them.
