    Supposedly from a private collection.
From the feedback so far, is it safe to assume that a strip and BLOicon the wood probably won’t hurt the value?

If it was me, I'd strip bead blast and parkerize. The wood needs a complete degrease and rejuvenate too. Then it'll be right. Still will be a shooter.

Is that a broken / chipped tooth on the trigger housings mag catch..... On the TH not the actual Magcatch ?

A good stock cleaning sure wouldn't hurt it. Best to coat the wood with RLO.

Thank you for the Merex id. I’d never had made that out. When I get home I can take some more pictures of the mag catch.
I’m hoping a good scrubbing will help.

    @ jasonafair,

Are there any Rivets in the back of your hand guard?

Also one picture looks like a Hole inside the trigger loop on the forward side. May just be the picture... but it sure looks like one. If it 'Is' a hole, I have never seen this before

    See this one:

Add that I'm wrong about a Chip on your Trigger Housing tooth.
Here's yours, compare it to the one I attached below it. Forget about the Peened punch marks on the 2nd picture
