    True, there should be nothing left of it after firing. HK G11? Got the rifle? A friend of mine worked on the small arms trials in '76 in Germanyicon and shot one of the early models, wasn't impressed with the piezo/electric trigger set up. He said they had a habit of running away on you. He had it happen with a full mag. All he could do is hold on and let it run.

    H&K G11

    Here is a photo of me holding the G11 taken at the Gun Digest offices some years ago. There are three 30 rd magazines on this rifle, one on top and one on each side. If for unknown reason, the cartridge fails to fire, the is a trap door in the chamber to dump the cartridge. This is unlike any firearm you are familiar with Attachment 116846

    So, these mags are different from his recollections, he spoke of two 75 rd mags. That doesn't matter, when it ran he had just loaded it and had a full compliment minus a very few. He went through all of them in one...
