Help with No 5 Enfield Repro or Original ( Strange Markings )

    Hi

Have just come into possession of this BAyonet for a mannequin that I am creating for the Malaya Conflict

There appear to be no Ordnance MArks to the blade which makes me think this may be an Indian Version. There are some Cypher type marks to the rear of the bayonet lug. I have taken some pictures of the item. any advice would be appreciated

    Regards

    Allan

The bayonet looks original, not a repro, most likely a Sterling contract example. Sterling built new and rebuilt bayonets so markings vary. The markings on yours unfortunately are poorly struck and have no meaning to me, they may have been added by someone looking to give it some markings?? Best guess.
